1.
Counselor-centered method.
In
this stage, a counselor takes more responsibility in directing the client. In
the succession of this, the counselor should observe the following stages;
a) Analysis
stage; a counselor should collect an information from different sources to get
about the problem.
b) Synthesis
stage; a counselor organize and interpret the given information and summarize
the information.
c) Diagnosis
stage; a counselor should observe the problem after being given the information
from the client.
d) Prognosis
stage; a counselor should predict the future of the client.
e) Counseling
stage; building the rapport between the counselor and the client.
f) Follow-up
stage; this depends on the effectiveness of the counseling stage.
2. Client
centered method.
A
client is free to say anything by providing the detailed information about
his/her problem. A counselor should not interfere the conversation of the
client until the end, where now a counselor can say over the provided information.
3. Eclectic
method. This application of all method that is counselor
and client centered method in the counseling session. There is exchange of idea
from both counselor and client.

Counseling
skills can be categorized into two categories. These are BASIC AND SUPPORTIVE
SKILLS.
A. BASIC SKILLS. (REUNDA)

Mean’s relationship building; starts when you are greeting.

Exploration, explore the issue that bring counseling
Activity.
c.
UND-
means understanding the client.
d.
A-Action,
which involve a joint efforts, also arguments.
B. SUPPORTIVE
SKILLS. (ROLES)

-relaxing, be in relaxing manner.
b. O-
Open posture, counselor should avoid keeping the arms and

Learn, showing that you are present.
e. E-
Ear contact, you need to keep ear contact with a client.
f. S-
Seating arrangement.
OTHER SKILLS
Communication
skills; listening careful without interpreting the ideas.

changing the subject.

Good responding skills need the following;
a) Keeping
hand motion
b) Express
appreciation of the client’s ideas
